MCS receives the highest rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for providing quality health care and service. By 2025, we are the only plan in Puerto Rico to have earned this distinction and the one with the largest membership, this places us among the best Medicare Advantage (MA) contracts, as only 9 out of 521 plans achieved this distinction.

This means that we have an excellent network of providers who listen to and attend to our members' needs in order to provide genuine care and complete health care. This rating also allows all Medicare Advantage members to use the Special Enrollment Period to switch from their current Medicare plan to our “5 Star of 5” Medicare plan once between December 8 and November 30 of the following year, provided they meet the plan's enrollment requirements.
The Medicare program rates how well Medicare health and drug plans perform in different categories (for example, in disease detection and prevention, patient ratings, patient safety, drug pricing, and customer service). This information is available to help you make the best decision when considering your health coverage. You can search the Medicare Plan Finder at www.medicare.gov to compare the ratings of Medicare plans in your area.
