What is the home bundle benefit?

This benefit provides a monthly economic contribution to help the member acquire personal care through a service provider.

What products are covered by this benefit?

MCS Classicare En Tu Hogar (HMO), MCS Classicare En Tu Casa (HMO) and MCS Classicare Platino @Home (HMO D-SNP)

What does the benefit cover?

The member will have a monthly non-cumulative contribution1 that varies according to their coverage, for the purchase of personal care items such as:

  • nutritional beverages
  • creams
  • gauzes
  • gloves
  • adult diapers
  • wet wipes
  • bed protectors (underpads)
  • 1Unused amounts do not rollover to the next month.

    How to obtain the benefit and which are its requirements

    • The member or his/her legal representative must complete the registration by calling our call center at 787.620.2530 (metro area), 1.866.627.8183 (toll-free) or 1.866.627.8182 TTY (hearing impaired people).
    • The member may designate an authorized representative to (1) review account balances of the benefit or (2) make benefit claims. To do so, the member or the legally authorized representative must complete the Authorization Form.
    • If the registration or form is completed by an authorized representative, evidence of legal capacity to represent the member must be provided.

    Homeowner who administers the benefit on behalf of the member:

    • A nursing home acting on behalf of the member's must obtain the member's authorization through the Benefit Use Authorization Form.
